A Little About the Owner.

Growing up in the “gun culture” has shaped where I am today.  Like many kids, I got my first BB gun, then .22 rifle, then .410 shotgun by the time I was 10 years old.  Watching my dad shoot IPSC matches, then shooting next to him in the back yard had me hooked on the sport long before I could even drive a car.

I joined the military right out of high school.  US Navy active and reserve, and currently US Army National Guard as a full-time technician. After earning an Expert Service Pistol medal with the M1911 and getting my first real taste of longer range shooting with the M14 in the Navy, I began to expand my horizons in the shooting world.  I now compete with the service M16/M4 and M9 pistol where I have earned EIC (Excellence In Competition) badges in statewide matches for the National Guard in both pistol and rifle. I have also competed in the national level matches in Little Rock, AR, known as the Winston P. Wilson Match and finished in the top 20% of all competitors.

While serving in the military, I have had in-depth training and experience with virtually every small arms weapon the military uses ranging from the M9, M203, M320, M26, M16/M4, M249, M240, and M2 etc. (all of em), all the way up to the M242 chain gun, 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm mortars, and the 155mm howitzer.  Can't forget the 120mm on the good ol Abrams!... I have served in the capacity as Unit Armorer stateside and overseas while deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  I have trained and mentored soldiers starting in this profession as well as acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during Unit Armorer classes and served as a range safety/coach for numerous ranges during mobilization and standard training.

During my Reserve time, I majored in Criminal Justice Administration at Middle Tennessee State University.  While at MTSU, I was elected President of the Criminal Justice Association and traveled to Regional competitions in crime scene investigation and shooting.  After college I moved to Seward, Alaska with my family and managed a shipping department for sport caught fish and a fuel dock for the marina.
